IR Thermography is also an effective IAQ/ BRI test Air Quality Pro
offers to those involved in a real estate transaction. We can detect
other sources of BRI (Building Related Illness) to the real estate buyer
during the inspection period with both testing and IR Thermography

IR Thermography |
|
Is the art of evaluating
structural and/or mechanical systems through infrared (IR) or thermal
imaging, which offer a myriad of advantages when diagnosing mold or
indoor air quality situations. Although offered as an independent
service, AQP may perform infrared imaging at its own discretion, at no
additional expense to the client, during the course of a mold
investigation. Building envelope performance is vitally important for
energy efficiency as well as occupant's safety & comfort. A quick
infrared scan may help you detect and/or resolve hidden electrical,
plumbing, insulation voids, storm drainage or structural defect
problems, minimize risks and maintenance costs. IR surveys can quickly
identify cooler areas behind dry wall, paneling, and walls that are
susceptible to interstitial condensation from high humidity.
Unsuspected leaks or high humidity in the building envelope will
eventually lead to mold conditions.
In cases of leakage, overflow, or
flooding, moisture mapping surveys can help in developing a cost
effective strategy for remediation / abatement. By finding target areas,
remediation or abatement can be conducted to only areas that need
immediate attention. This could save thousands of dollars in remediation
costs to insurers and building owners. It can also ensure that the
building has been properly dried before reconstruction is performed.
Thermal Imaging is
now recognized as the most effective, least intrusive of all building
diagnostic procedures. It identifies heat/cooling loss, damaged or
